Sue Bridge

Susan Bridge and her husband are long-time Oak Park residents. Their adult son and his family also live in Oak Park. Sue served as Superintendent/Principal of OPRF High School from 1999-2007. She began as a high school English teacher and served as assistant principal and principal at Glenbard West High School. She has a BA in Education, an MA in English, and an Ed.D in Educational Administration. Since retiring, she has volunteered extensively, most recently with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra Association, including as President. Sue has found music to be a vital part of her life, which has motivated her to be involved with PING, especially helping to run the NextNote mentoring program. Sue, along with her spouse, Nick, received The Heart of Our Villages Award in 2024, which acknowledges their lives of service and activism. It was awarded by Oak Park River Forest Museum.
