To qualify for PING Membership a student and their family are required to meet the following:

1. The student must be enrolled in instrumental music in District 97, 90, or 200 (Oak Park/River Forest public schools).
2. Renting an instrument or otherwise participating in school instrumental music is a financial burden to the family. 

Financial barriers include:

• Qualifying for Free or Reduced Lunch and/or fee waivers at their district.
• Single-parent households, or students being raised by someone other than their parents or who are in foster care.
• Other financial stressor, such as recent job loss, a seriously ill household member or a disability in the family.
