Jim Bonaccorsi
Born and raised in Oak Park, one of twelve siblings, Jim treasures the sense of community here. Music was more than a hobby—it was a way of life. Growing up surrounded by instruments and encouraged to take music lessons, he developed a deep passion for it. His journey led him to participate in music programs at St. Luke’s Grade School and Fenwick High School, where he now works in their Institutional Advancement Department as a Major Gifts Officer. Following Jim's education at Indiana University, he embarked on an exhilarating adventure as a member of the Freddy Jones Band, achieving commercial success in the ’90s under Capricorn Records/Warner Bros.
With a career spanning more than 25 years, Jim has worked in both business and nonprofit sectors. His experiences have taught him the value of strategic partnerships and driving significant growth. He is committed to using his skills to ensure equitable access to instrumental music programs within the Oak Park and River Forest School Districts and excited to make a tangible difference in young musicians' lives.
