Carol Freer Rao

A resident of Oak Park for more than 25 years, Carol is a creative whose work spans interior design, fine art, and writing. After a successful career as a licensed Interior Designer, Carol transitioned into the world of visual arts, finding a specific passion for the expressive nature of charcoal drawing.

Carol balances her artistic practice with diverse entrepreneurial ventures, including running a small antiques business and managing her family’s farm business. When she isn't in the studio, she enjoys creative writing, pickleball, and line dancing. Carol is the proud mother of two recent college graduates.
